Wood grouse (I think is the English name) is a lovely feather. Body made of biot from a feather I found around the house. And of course I added some Letumgoherl...

I love the muted bluish/grey color of wood grouse, Martin, and you have done a great job of pairing it with that beautiful biot body.

That's one name. It's probably better known as a capercaillie.

Experimenting with CdC to get the fly to float in the surface film. Anyone have experience with that?

Same dressing as before with the addition of a CdC feather behind the spaghetti.

I just tyed some wingless nymphs using cdc as a thorax. I don't think they'll float since I wrapped them with some lead free wire but the cdc should give some action to the fly.
