I hate it when I think I'm buying organic vegetables, and when I get home I discover they are just regular donuts. http://www.oldhatflytying.com
In another string Dubbn commented upon the similarity in color of some Tups dubbing and trout eggs. I did a little Googling and turned up photos of trout hatchlings with the egg sac still serving as their source of nutrition. These are called sac fry, and some fly tiers have imitated them. But I wonder — could part of the success of Tups patterns (like this one of yours Carl) be their resemblance to infant trout?
