Experimenting with some more of the UV peacock.

Hook: Syl Nemes soft hackle (Gaelic Supreme)
Thread: Pearsall's silk, olive
Body: peacock dyed UV purple
Hackle: starling dyed olive

Very fishy. It has an understated "plain jane" beauty (compliment).

That, to me, is a "go-to" kind of pattern. If there aint much happening you can rely on and have faith in peacock.
Nice simple clean pattern.

Man, I missed a lot of wonderful dressings. This is certainly one. The perfect dropper.

If I can I'd like to ask you if you dyed the starling yourself or did you buy it like that. The dyed starling skins I see in fly shops just don't interest me, but maybe I haven't seen one dyed olive, thanks.

The starling I bought. I do dye feathers every now and then but it is not my favorite thing to do. I found it in a shop a couple years back. It does have a nice olive color that I haven't seen before on the starling. It may have been a custom job for the shop. there is some nice looking dyed starling here.
