A 22? Are you kidding me? Who ties and fishes something that small? Okay, over my shock now. At first glance at the photo I thought "Nice looking fly, well executed". But, dang, it's a size 22. A fly that small, dressed that well isn't just well executed, it's a bloody miracle. Well done!

A pic from the bleechers. Definately not in your league Bill.

I'm always amazed at how anyone can tie that small. I've tried, but with size 4/0 fingers. It's not a pretty sight, but I'm sure is a great source of amusement for the fish.
That would be a very good tie on a #12 hook, very clean and crisp.

t2f, Howdy;

Nice bitty fly...
I don't have any of the fancy birds so I'm going to check out
the few Starling sking that I have ... I know I'll find some
tiny feathers on them ... :D

Just need to work up the nerves to attempt it... :roll: :roll:

Starling will certainly work just as well, Hank. It has been a soft hackle staple for small flies for a long, long time.

This quail is kicking my butt! I have broken so many feathers in the past hour. :evil:

This is the best I can do Bill. Thanks for the inspiration.

Quail can be a pain to work with, I have a valley quail skin and you really have to treat it with respect while wrapping.
