Now that I have time to clean my tying room, I keep finding long lost materials. The dubbing on this came in one of the Christmas boxes from the mad scientist at Fly Tying Dungeon a couple of years ago. The fibers are a little long, but that can be fixed.
Hook - TMC200R Size 14
Thread - Griffith 14/0 Sheer, Cinnamon
Abdomen - FTD Halo Dubbing, in a Dropped Loop
Thorax - Dark Gray Wool
Hackle - Speckled Brown Hen

Fibers might be a wee tad long, but as you say can be "fixed", but it is a way cool buggy looking dubbing! Very nice shade of colour that will appeal to many a fishes dining requirements.
Nice looking fly, very well tied.

Looks very similar to golden stonefly dubbing mix I use.
