Hook: Grip 13021BL #12 (or equivalent 2XL medium wire hook)
Thread: Benecchi 12/0, black
Hackle: Furnace
Rib: Wire, copper dark
Tail: Hackle barbs, dyed red
Body: Tying thread
Head: Embroidery yard, red

I like this one Hans. It reminds me of another fly or two. Have you tried this one on the fish? I like this style of fly. I think the fish will too.

That's one hell of a nosebleed when it leaks out the back end as well!
Nice looking palmer hackle fly, looks as though it may sit in/on the film without too much help. Could be cast upstream and sat on top of the water to drift down to near right angles- give the line a tug, pop it under the film for the rest of the swing and short lift.
Not sure if that is the intention, but it looks like it would make a nice "semi-dry" soft hackle.
