Wonderfully classic North Country; I'll wager that "Greenwell" will approve.

Hans, I like the shade of the quill very much. is this taken from a tail that is dyed with the herl on or are these stripped and then dyed? it's just such a perfect material. I've seen lots of peacock tails which are dyed, but I would imagine the stripping would muck up the quality color of the quill. Either way, I want some.

Stripped and then dyed.

Thanks Hans. As part of my "reorganization" I've revived my canisters of Rit dyes. I'll have to try adding a nice tone to some of the quills. I don't tie with them much, but they are so nice looking, it's hard to resist.
