Mark (Soft-hackle) - When I see your flies I immediately think to my self "That is one of my favorites", every time...

Thanks Mark and Ray. I put this one into the database some time back. Since that time, I've used this fly quite successfully. I really like the implied action of the hook profile. It's got that "swimming to the top" look about it.

I'm glad to see a tie on that hook--this summer, I tied some sulphur emergers (pheasant tail abdomen/shuck, orangy-yellow thorax) on size 10 TMC 206BL's and felt like a real heretic. Caught fish, though. :)

BTW, I've had trouble sourcing Varivas hooks here in the States--any online vendors you know of?

Beautiful fly! I especially like the copper rib and tag.

i see what you mean Mark.....it is a nice attitude.

C.B., Varivas and Targus are both very hard to find.....Mike Hogue at Badger Creek Fly Tying may have some. Google him.

Good eye Roadkill. ;)

Mark, that is absolutely beautiful. :)

And with the added advantage that if I had that tied on when I am fishing again tomorrow, I would be very surprised if I returned home empty handed... well, ok I probably would as my river is strictly catch and release, but you know what I mean... ;)

Andrew.

Willow-- thanks for the directions to Mike's joint: one place a fellow doesn't have to worry about filling out an order! :)
