here are a few more flymphs, im gunna have to get a bigger box pretty soon for my flypmhs:P

oh and i always like to hear ways i can improve my tying so if any one has any ideas dont be afraid to say them

Those are some nicely tied flies but don't qualify as Flymphs exactly. A Flymph has a full body with the hackle wrapped back towards the hook bend. See www. internationalbrotherhoodoftheflymph.com and www.dtnichlson.com for excellent flymphs.

Your flies are great, but I'd agree with narco, somewhat. The first fly would definitely qualify as a flymph. My definition would be a wingless wet fly that has a dubbed body, most often with the dubbing thread showing through, but not always and representing a hatching fly (Half fly, half nymph. I feel this attribute is more important than the method of tying.). Hidy suggests wrapping the hackle back toward the body then wrapping through it with the tying thread, however, I do not feel this is absolutely necessary. Recently, Dave Hughes' book has shown flymphs tied with the hackle wrapped through the dubbed thorax. This is a different approach than Hidy first wrote about, but it is applicable.

thnaks guys, ya i kinda knew what flymphs where but i wasn't one hundred percent sure on what seperated them from soft hackle's, which was one of the reasons i wanted to join the site. thanks again for the advice and now its time for me to go tie some real flymphs:P

I agree with the above comments. I think your flies are very well tied and i also think you have a great attitude . Don't forget tying is the other part of fly fishing.
