Thread, Olive Uni Thread 8/0
Hackle: Partridge with some fluff left at the bottom
Rib: Silver wire
Body: A mix of olive, natural, cahill colored hare's ear dubbing with red & yellow rabbit fur, dubbed Leisenring method.

MARK,
THAT'S A KILLER IN MY NECK OF THE .....STREAM! I LIKE THAT COLOR OF DUBBING. JOHNNO WAS RIGHT. IT HAS THAT "HINT OF TUPS". THE PINK TUPS FUR DUBBING (AT LEAST MY IMPRESSION OF WHAT IT SHOULD BE AND I KNOW THAT EVERYONE HAS A DIFFERENT IMPRESSION AND OPINION) THAT I TRY AND STRIVE FOR LOOKS VERY MUCH LIKE WHAT YOU HAVE PRODUCED HERE. DUBBING COLORS ARE HARD TO DESCRIBE AND A PICTURE IS WORTH A THOUSAND WORDS (YOU SAVED ME ALOT OF TYPING). WHAT YOU HAVE PICTURED HERE (THE DUBBING BODY COLOR) IS VERY CLOSE TO WHAT I LIKE AND OF COURSE YOUR TYING ABILITIES ALWAYS LEAVE ME SPEACHLESS. HAVE I SAID ENOUGH?

I really like the fluff you tied in with the hackle. I am going to have to use that stuff more. It's looks great and I am sure the motion it adds is good too.
How do you mix your dubbing Mark? You did it very well.

Hi Scott,
I just blend it with my hands, fingers. I think this gives the best result. Let's face it, Leisenring didn't have an electric coffee grinder like lots of tiers use.

haha, very true. I like to use the blender on synthetics or when I mix naturals with synthetics. But I also like to use my hands when mixing only naturals. I don't do it nearly as good as you though.
