I have this fairly large monkey skin with different ranges of color so I thought I would play around and tie a couple of flymphs with it. The first one was on a size 16, and the thread snapped when I went to whip finish it. After another attempt, and grazing the hook point which partially cut the thread, I gave up and went with this size 12. I haven't tied all that many distribution wrap type wets, so it's not perfect, but fishable. The way my vision has been heading, it's nice just to have it come out sort of the way I want it to. Who said it just gets better as you grow older?
