Hook: Partridge BMN (Big Mouth Nymph) #8
Thread: Benecchi 12/0, light brown
Hackle: Whiting Coq de Leon shoulder feather, pardo dark dun
Body: 'Metallic' tinsel dubbing brush, twisted copper wire core
Note: Last resort pattern - it will either make all fish bolt for the nearest cover, or one might just nail it!
Cheers,
Hans W
Re: Glare
Hans,
Terrific pattern. I think the fish will nail it! The patterns that I have been tying lately with the only color of "Ice Dub" in olive (a small display box of different colors is forthcoming) that I currently own, seem to glow even in moderate light. I like that feature. My local speckled beauties seem to respond well to other "brite" dubbed patterns from earlier this season(s). Is it possible that fish, especially in hard pressed areas, sometimes become wise to a certain look or brite bodied pattern? It's an interesting thought! I am anxiously waiting to hear what all the forum members think about this.
Here's to a great new year in thought, theory, and definately practice!

Fish when you can, not when you should! Anything short of this is just a disaster.
