Roy's wee spiders...

Hello all,
Wasn't sure where to put this, but opted for here in the end.
Well, it has been quite a few weeks for me, fly tying wise, I feel like I have been on an incredibly steep learning curve. Roy put me on to this forum, and I've learned a lot from it by having a look around, and getting feedback on the flies I've posted, of course.
Roy in particular has been a massive help to me - he has been extremely generous with both his knowledge and his time. I feel like I have compressed about ten years worth of experience into the last three weeks!
As a thank you to him, I asked him to send me some of his flies and i would photograph them for him - which was rather a neat way of getting my hands on some of Roy Christie's flies...
The thing that really struck me when I was holding the flies in my hands, was the quality of the materials used. The degree of craftsmanship came as no surprise - you can probably tell that better from a half decent close up photograph anyway. But that, in combination with the quality of the hackles in particular, definitely made the total greater than the sum of the parts.
OK - enough of the gush. Here are the flies. I've only named the ones i am 110% certain of (I hope! lol). I'll leave Roy to fill in the gaps on the others. EDITED TO SAY: Got the ID's from the horse's mouth.... corrected titles now.
Partridge and Orange Variant - (using outer covert)
Dark Watchet

P&O

Olive pearsall's well waxed, dark; hackle - golden olive dyed Japanese quail

Stewarts Black Spider

Dark Snipe

So there we go. All on #18's as well. Those hooks are superb to photograph btw - they are matt finish, so there isn't the reflective glare.
Thanks again all,
Andrew.
