Hook: Mustad R72
Thread: UNI 6/0
Tail: Hares Mask guard hair
Abdomen: Hares Mask underfur ribbed with thread
Hackle: Hares Mask guard hair
Notes: floats well and works as dry & wet, imitates emerger, spinner and dun depending on fishing technique and prepping

That looks dangerous 8-)

How do you do that hackle? is it split thread, or a loop or something?

Andrew.

Japp. See here - http://www.teazy.net/handmadeflies/hhd.html

I also used this type of hackle here http://www.teazy.net/handmadeflies/fhk.html - not exactly a "flymph" maybe, but fish don´t mind ;)

Hi,

played around with the method of tying the hackle pointing fowards, invented by French Aimé Devaux. Looks interesting too and sits well on the water. Can´t wait for spring now .....
