Black and Peacock
Black genetic hen hackle. This is tied on a Partridge Big Mouth Nymph #14. Never used this hook before, just arrived today. One for the reservoir I think, when the season opens in a couple of weeks.

Re: Black and Peacock
I like that hook, never saw that before, and I tie many flies on partridge hooks. A very nice simple fly, I also like simple flies, thank you much. I will be tying a bunch of those.

Re: Black and Peacock
I like this a lot. The hook is a nice choice for this fly.

Thanks
It is a proven fish catcher this fly - heck, even I have caught with this one!
As for the hook - word of warning: I like the look of it - I'm into these mean looking wide gaped hooks at the moment but this one is: 'Flashpointed high carbon steel' which meant nothing to me. But, in practical terms, once I had it in my hands, it means that I can't for the life of me bend or snap the barb, and as I need to fish barbless, that presents a problem...
Andrew.
