Like the look of that Ruard - :) Jackdaw makes a mean looking spider 8-) That's the kind of thing I'm looking to do on my spider bodies now, that touch of dubbing - give the body a bit of life too.

(Just off out to test a 10 ft Streamflex #4 weight that someone has kindly let me borrow! :o )

Superbly fishable! Lovely pattern Ruard. Where did you by the water rat from? I have not seen it listed on any of the fly tying supply sites.

I ordered it from FDF: http://fdf.flies.tripod.com/id18.html

But now I could not find the water-rat-mask anymore. I asked the owner if it was not longer available??

Edit:
He answerd: I got the last one from him and he cannot get them anymore.

That looks very classic. I haven't had a water rat either. Nice. And I love the D1640 too. It has a lot of character.

Ruard,
As always, you have done a terrific job tying this pattern but the photography is exceptional as well! The photo is so clear, you can see each little barb along the stem of each fiber. Thank you for this. It's very buggy and there is no doubt that this pattern will take fish.
Very well done friend,
Dougsden
