Fresh New York city sidewalk kill
I’m down by the Freedom Tower in New York City, going to lunch with clients. The question is: should I pick it up and put it in my pocket or not?

Yes, you should, and then ask the chef to give it his best treatment for you. What else could you do?

Any mice I used to trap I’d shave with my wife’s razor ( I wasn’t going to use my own...)
I’ve got a nice stash of mouse fur as a result. Great touch dubbing material.
I’m currently single.
No idea why........

I'd leave it alone. It's not worth catching a new disease, and there's not enough toilet paper in the stores to stock up on.

Gentlemen, thank you for the timely responses!
FWIW, This is a baby rat. What immediately caught my eye is the similarity to this critter and British water rat......Robb Smith let me examine a piece of his water rat fur at the last flyfishing symposium......
Here’s a couple of more fun facts: I was very close to La branche & Company’s old headquarters building who incidentally we used to do work for. And I was very close to the marble cemetery, where Theodore Gordon is buried. So I took it as a sign from the flyfishing Gods that this treasure was in fact put they are just for me.

I did not, however take Dinsdale home with me!!

Dana, I didn't expect you to pick it up. I read it as a joke. Did it have a hook attached?
