#3 Blue Heron hooks. They are great hooks but I use them sparingly, since I have not seen them in stock for a while.

Nice, Mike. Love them both. The hackle is spot on, and the tented wings are beautiful.

Just a quick and dirty fly that has worked well. Hook: TMC 200R sizes 6 or 8, Thread: Black, Hackle: Guinea dyed red, Tag and Rib: Red wire, Body: Flat silver mylar tinsel (coat with Head cement or UV Resin), Thorax: UV Ice Dub in Shrimp Pink.

Every fly posted on this topic are absolutely fantastic. This forum is filled with such talented fly tyers, it makes me feel unworthy to even post what I tie.
You guys rock when it comes to tying.
My biggest wish being on this forum is learning more about materials I'm not familiar with, and the many patterns that I still don't know exist. There's so many, and I can't soak in all the flies I have seen on this forum. Way too many flies, so little time.

Ray, TMC 200R in a 6 or 8. I don't go smaller than a 10 on that hook. I've had some straighten out on good fish. The larger size are fine.
