Silk: Pearsalls Gossamer Silk - Claret
Body: 2 crow fibers from the secondary wing feather, twisted around the silk and wrapped.

Great-looking fly. I am going to have to try a couple of those if the rivers ever get low enough to fish around here.

Chalk me up as another admirer as well. :) A question about all of your feather-fiber bodies, though: where on the hookshank initially do you like to catch the fibers? If my material was long enough--like, say, pheasant tail--I could see starting at the eye and wrapping down for extra strength, but I'm thinking from the slender abdomens here that you are content to catch in the tips near the bend.

Also a question about technique: are you wrapping the crow around the "working" thread and bringing it back up, or perhaps you leave yourself an extra-long tag when you initially cast the thread, to twist with the feather fibers?
