Your right CB, what is the point of arguing with someone who has not contributed
to the string and is not even a member of this site.
I hope to post some flies soon, they will not be absolutely pure Border or N. C. spiders.

C.B.
It is good to remember the words of England's finest 20th century poet. And Yorkshire's second finest 20th century poet.
Fishing provides that connection with the whole living world.
It gives you the opportunity of being totally immersed, turning back into yourself in a good way.
A form of meditation, some form of communion with levels of yourself that are deeper than the ordinary self.

Mr. Smith, perhaps it escaped your notice, but I ceased contributing to this forum, or indeed any other, quite some time ago. I would appreciate it if you did not bandy my name about in such an offhand and derogatory manner on a public forum, it wakes up the trolls, who then proceed to fill up my e-mail with rubbish.

If you simply state the facts as you know them, or your opinions and conclusions on whatever matter you happen to be discussing, then there should be no need to bring other people's names, personalities, or perceived deficiencies, into it at all.

This is merely a polite request on my part, and not an invitation to debate the matter.

Thank you for your time and attention.

I did wonder how long it would take for the trolls to drag their knuckles over to the wise old hermits cave...
I wish you would lift the gloom more often Mr Connor and contribute some insight and debate to these forums.

Perhaps some good will result from all of this after all ...
