If the "Casual Dress" catches fish, perhaps this will as well ...
Going Dutch Tenkara Style
Hook: Daiichi 1760, #14
Thread: Pearsall's Gossamer, #15 Maroon (I think)
"Hackle": Dutch hare guard hairs (thank you, Ruard)
Tail: Butt ends of hackle hair
Body/Head: Thread wraps

Bill, my first reaction, upon seeing this fly, was laughter. The fuzzy tail just looks so cute, I couldn't resist chuckling. It just makes me feel happy.
Fantastic, fly by the way. Wonderful creativity and perfectly executed. I am a big fan of Polly Rosborough's "Casual Dress", and I can see the influence in your design. I love the blending of this dressing and the Tenkara style. Superb...

Well now, I have the right materials, except no maroon I don't think. A nice person sent me some of that Dutch Hare too. I am busy with my hook organization. It is going rather slow. This fly is terrific. I have never tied a fly like that in my life, but now, I am tempted.

Great looking fly. That hair hackle is going to drive fish crazy. I never thought I would hear a fly described as having a "cute butt".
