Hook – Mustad 31217 Size 15
Thread – Pearsall’s Silk Grey
Body – Beaver dubbing on Ash Pearsall’s Silk (prepared Leisenring style, tyed and wrapped forward to hook eye)
Hackle – Whiting Hen. Medium Grey Dun

Hey that reminds me of the time I 'hooked' a beaver. Actually he swam through my line. Actually he was swimming towards my line and I tried to strip the fly in really quick before he got to it and managed to lodge it in his fur. The hooking was good. It was a monumental battle for a few minutes. Eventually he won. When I retrieved the fly it looked something like yours!

Anyway she's a fishy looking flymph Martin. Let us know when she catches something.

That's a great hook, and the hackle is simply terrific.

Very nice and flymphy. Beaver in a dubbing loop is one of my favorites. This is wonderfully done.
