Doug's Beauties

Post by tie2fish » Sun Feb 26, 2012 8:46 am

Received a wonderful batch of flies from our friend Doug (Dougsden) in the mail, and thought you might enjoy seeing a couple of them. Doug may very well chime in with some details ...

WOW! Way Cool tyes/flies.........i've never tyed one so sparse and in that same exact style as the bottom one here. VERY cool. Whereas you'd "almost" presumme all tyers have given that first one a shot at one time or the other. Both are excellent. ;)

Doug, I always like to see killer little patterns done in very few materials. These are great and the Stewart spider is especially nice. Mine never come out that photogenic, not that it matters, but you really layed out a nice wrap with this one.

Very nice flies, Doug. Thanks for parting with them for getting the pix snapped , released to the world, and not have them pine away in the den 8-)

That Doug sure is a talented tyer! You've done a beautiful job photographing these flies, Bill. I am especially drawn to the first fly. It is so elegant in it's simplicity. Gorgeous fishing fly (sincere compliment).

Both fantastic ties, and extremely well presented. Thanks to both of you.
