Great looking fly.
The other day my 4 yr old grand daughter asked me what my favorite color is; I told her "claret". She just looked at me kind of funny. Don't think she has that color in her Crayola box.
This fly is like a sleek sports car - it looks like it's speeding just sitting there.

I like Claret color in flies. T.C. Kingsmill Moore was a big fan of Claret & mixing shades of it for different situations /back ground lighting.

That's very slick. The color of the hackle makes for a very rich pattern. I've ordered some of the split thread spools, just to see what happens.
