Hook - TMC 3761, Size 12
Thread - Griffith 14/0 Sheer Ultrathin, Claret
Tail - Brown Speckled Hen
Rib - Thin Holographic Tinsel
Body - Tan Hare's Ear, dubbing loop
Hackle - Brown Speckled Hen

This thread is becoming my new best friend. The next few March Browns will have a fine gold wire rib - I don't like the way tinsel (no matter how thin) matts down the body.

I can feel my willpower slipping with each mention of this thread. When I noticed that you were using claret, it's becoming irresistible... (MarkR - you can make fun of me if you want).

Rodger - That's a gorgeous fly & photo. Beautiful presentation.

Ray - I did order some more of that thread. And, yes, I had to wax the kitchen floor to earn the money. ;)

By the way, forgot to mention the head on this one was coated with Red Loon Hard Head. The Claret Griffith thread is not as bright, and a darker color. Next one I think I'll use a clear coating to let the thread show thru.
