I know the fruit colors are influencing the hackle colors, but you get the idea......Very interesting differences between the dry and wet tying silks however. Did a bit of research and found that these colors are similar to what you would find on many PMD, Light Cahill, and Sulfur nymphs.

This is a great exercise. Sometimes the difference is more dramatic than you think, no matter how many times you see it. Nice post.

Izaak, Howdy;
WOW !! The quick dip in the pool makes quite a difference.
Thanks for taking the time to go that 'one step further'...

Always interesting to see what the fly looks like to the fish. A world of difference!
Great job, thanks.

Fascinating. Great to see the ribbing pop out as the silk darkens.

I am also thrilled to see you contrasting the same fly dry vs. wet....regardless of the fruit! I like the different fruits (and veggies?) you use in all your photo's. I think you should list them (the produce) along with the other items in the receipe!
As always, sooo well done! It's a real treat to check out your patterns almost everyday!

Super, Tom. Your flies are superb. Glad you found us.
