Thread: Benecchi 12/0, black
Body: Wire, black; Nylon rod winding thread, red - wrapped together, then coated with clear nail varnish to bring out the 'depth'
Collar: Fluey barbs, red - in split thread

OK this is just to cool. Wet those fibers will move like a dance.

I bet this would be very effective in Stillwater, as a chironomid imitation. The soft fluffy hackle would undulate with the slightest current or movement of the line.

That is the plan, Ray. Tubex is a spin on the Dutch generic term for bloodworms, Tubifex - aka fish food 8-)
