Tups Indescribable...my attempt
Dear Friends,
Here is a couple of firsts for me! With Bill's wonderful help (and my daughter Erica too!!), I am now photographing and uploading some pictures that I have of patterns particularly the swap flies that are due soon! So, here we go! Yes, I realize that I have alot to learn and I would appreciate any and all help along the way! This is exciting! After talking about it, and with much encouragement from many of you, I think I have entered the '90's as far as technology goes!
Tups Indescribable....rather fuzzy!

Doug - are you uploading an image, or linking it in from another photo hosting site?

Ray,
Uploading from a file which has been established in my computer....It simply did not work. From the forum end of things, am I suppose to use the "attachments" option at the bottom of the page?
Help!
Really confused D.
Ray, I may not pick up your response until tomorrow. It's bed time for Bonzo! Thanks!

Doug - How are you making out with the photo posting instructions Ruard sent? I look forward to seeing this fly, when you get things worked out.

Me too, Doug. The technical hurdle of getting an image to behave well is a little frustrating, but the gains for us of being able to see your flies are worth the bother, so please ask every question and we'll make sure it works out. If it's still causing headaches, just email the image to me and I can post it.letumgo wrote:bump

Dougsdon, I am not a computer whiz by any means, but if you would like me to call Saturday, I believe I can talk you through this...Your patterns are always a joy to see, and it would be great if your could upload them your self.

To my friends,
Thank you one and all for the inquiries as to my photo's. The last couple of days have been a blurr with doing odd jobs and other things for others around me including both sets of parents. Therefore, I have not had much time in the den to do the photography and take up all the suggestions that everyone has been so gracious with. It will come! When I get out of this funk that I'm in.
I do want to thank everyone for the great suggestions and help that you have given so far. I have chronicaled most of it but just havent' had the time....again, MANY THANKS! I am slowly learning what our new camera is capable of doing and I am learning the mechanics of getting the images imported and out-sourced and uploaded and downgraded....William, you are right. The pangs experienced now will be well worth it down the road. I do want to share the fruits of the vice with everyone as all of you have been so generous with images and advice! Dubbn, thanks for the offer to call. I might just take you up on that! Ruard, your instructions were excellent as well! Thank you friend for this and again thanks to all who taek the time to look in on a new-by like me! There is simply no other place like the Flymphforum and it's great people!
In appreciation and anticipation of some pic's in the near future,
Doug
