Picric Pheasant tail nymph

Hook: TMC 2769 #16
Bead: Copper bead (reversed)
Hackle: Partridge dyed picric
Thorax: One bronze peacock hearl
Rib: Thin copper wire
Tail/body: Pheasant tail dyed picric

Devine flies and photos.
I would usually tie PT's on a 1XL hook, but might try some shorter versions as a nice variation....... and find some picric dyed materials.

Martin, I am wondering what is the purpose of putting the bead on backwards? With the small diameter hole facing backwards does it take less thread to secure the bead?

Actually it was only that I wanted to have more free shank, and the beads I had in this size was slotted. And it seems that I need to use 7x tippet for these flies
