Hans,
Very well done friend! There is something about the look of that Grip hook with your wonderful magic applied to it! In watching your patterns day by day, they just get better and better! Please keep us fed!

Hans - Could you indulge me, by photographing this fly wet? I think the tinsel core will twinkle thru, once the fur becomes wet and more translucent. Marvelous pattern, btw.

Thanks Hans. The color shift is less pronounced than I expected. I had expected mink fun to become more translucent when wet. Very interesting.

Are you using a mink mask or hide? I have some masks, but have never tried tying with them. This pattern makes me want to pull them out to play.

Thanks again, for the extra effort. Much appreciated.

Mink is hydrophobic.

I'm not sure why the photo no longer shows up, but I posted this in February 2011. I will see if I can locate and re-post the photo so folks can see how great minds do indeed think alike ;) .

Bill - I added your fly photo back into the original post. ;)

I remember this fly well. After you posted it, I bought a bunch of the different colored dyed peacock herl.

Did someone say Gingersnap? Where's the milk?

Great pattern but even a better desert.
