Anyone else see the 5 blade propeller of a late war time Spitfire (or P 51-if they had a 5 blade?) waiting on the landing strip there? :D
Nice looking fly Wayne, very cool hackle.

Dubbn,
I read with great interest this thread of yours. I wound up at one of our local hospitals this past Sunday afternoon/evening diagnosed with a kidney stone! I thought I was giving birth out my back! I never had pain like that before. One of the pills thus prescribed to me was a pain killer called hydrocodone which a generic form of vicadin. That stuff is just nuts. It did kill the pain long enough for me to get some sleep at night. I could almost predict to the minute when the goofy pill would wear off. And, they slurr your sense of reality. Mine is already smeared and it didn't need a slurr added to it!
If you can create this kind of wonderfulness while taking percocet.....Wow! What would hydrocodone do for you? I am just kidding with you! I hope you are off them by now and your dry sockets have found some moisture! The pattern is just amazing and I like the blue body on it. I especially liked the mention of everyones favorite, panfish! What a great color choice and pattern design. I think you have a winner here!
By the way, I am now drug free and loving every minute of sobriety!

Fish when you can, not when you should! Anything short of this is just a disaster.

I love that name! I am going to add to it. "Doug Junkie Dog!"

Thank you for your concern. I will be going in tomorrow morning to have the packing removed. I have my fingers crossed that the sockets will be on the mend. My dentist prescribed a low dose of hydrocodone (vicadin) to treat my initial pain. The oral surgeon changed the drug of choice to a higher dose of percocet. I am a horrible junkie. All pain killers give me a hang over when they wear off. I have not had a pill in 36 hours, and am happy about that.

Doug, and everyone else. Thank you for the kind words . The patterns are kind of neat, but in the end, they are still Blue. Blue and I have a long way to go before we can trust each other.

Thanks folks,

Wayne

My wife is a pharmacist. There is something out there for whatever ails you. Funny thing though is I never take anything unless I absolutely have to. Not even aspirin. I just "work it off" i.e.. keep busy to keep my mind off it. My father was a doctor and mother a nurse. As kids we were never given anything. The cure for everything was: drink lots of water, put your head in this bowl of steaming menthol water for 15 minutes then sit on the pot. Wah Lah your cured! We've come a long ways though from Mercury pills.
I hate it when I think I'm buying organic vegetables, and when I get home I discover they are just regular donuts.

Wayne, if you can take vicadin you are lucky. That stuff, or any drug with similar characteristics makes me very ill. There are hardly any pain killers that don't make me sick. (or I'm allergic to them also) I never throw away pain killers, because you never know when they might come in handy. (unless they are old) I was sharpening a treble hook on a spoon once...I got carried away, and completely embedded the hook next to my thumbnail, and slightly under it. The old pain killers from the kidney stones saved the day. I took one, and it didn't do much. Then I took another finally...it helped. I tried the mono trick, but it didn't work. I ended up pulling it out with pliers. Let's just say I am much more careful now when I sharpen hooks...lol.

Chris - Cool fly! I love the look of the blue dyed partridge. Beautiful stuff. I am looking forward to seeing you at Roscoe.
