Ok, today I got a nice little package from one of our resident Kiwi's (Jeff), very thankful btw. I have to say that yarn selection is just great along with the feral cat.. awesome. However, the best part with the Lord of the Rings postage stamp.
Now I have to brainstorm what my pattern(s) will be!

Howdy friends and neighbors. I'm a bit pressed for time and only get to the computer every other day. Could someone post the due date for the flies. The Madison River is fishing well, as is the Firehole. Later. REE

I am too tied up to get in a swap. I have a bunch of flies I need to tie for my trip. Plus I still haven't completed my spider box. If it weren't for that, I would. I have to tie a whole box of flies for the trip. Hopefully one box for trout, one for smallmouth. So I haven't even started those yet really. I planned to do that, after I finish the row of Bracken Clock. Thanks for thinking of me though. These flies all have to have pinched barbs. That is why I need a separate box. My regular bass flies etc...are not barbless.

My packet has yet to arrive with the supplies. I hope to receive it sometime this week. And will get to tying as soon as possible.

There is no rush. Ron has yet to set the due date with his busy schedule but I'll do a tentative of Aug. 15. that gives everyone a 1.5 months to finish and I'll send them out ASAP. Please be sure to write your return address out clearly. toe tags and all please.

Re: Swap suggestion feeler.
A package arrived today from Jeff today. Thanks for the supplies to participate in the swap.
I have 9 yarn colors, mallard drake and hen feathers, a very nice hunk of possum fur and some "mystery" fur. Our house cat assured me it was no relative of hers.
There also was a teeny, little soft hackle tucked in a corner of the yarn package.
I thought I had my pattern picked out before I spotted the yarn..
Thanks Jeff, for the opportunity to participate. Now, all I need to know is how many flies to tie, where to ship them and stuff like that. On the other board I'm on a "swap honcho" acts as a central point for sending the flies and sorts them out and returns them to the swappers. Let me know if that's how it works here.
I see toe tags are a requirement. I'm assuming SASE is also another good thing.

Re: Swap suggestion feeler.
Since the due date is up to me and there are some folks who have just received their packets (mine is in the car somewhere) how about we go with July 31. That gives everyone a little over a month to get thing wrapped up and sent along. That okay?
Ariel, could you PM your snail mail addy? I'll try to get everything done this weekend.
