A fish magnet! Did you use a WFC hook?
Thanks- Ken
I did, Ken. I used a model 7 WFC, nymph hook.

Thank you, Ray. I wrapped it. The hackles at the size of a 4B cape really do not show the black at the center of the feather very well. I could go down to a size 20, but I have better hackle for that.letumgo wrote: Tue Jan 30, 2024 9:04 pm I’m impressed that you typed a size 18 with the 4B hen. Did you wrap the hackle, or use bundled hackle fibers?
Lovely pattern Wayne.
Thank you.Theroe wrote: Wed Jan 31, 2024 10:10 pm That’s a very nice pattern – Greenwells is a real favorite of mine, although a true Greenwells cape is not the easiest thing to find, as is most good hackle.
Unless it's a hackle on a Woolly Bugger, my wet patterns use hen or gamebird.Bazzer69 wrote: Thu May 23, 2024 2:18 pm Dubbn, I also use a whitings 4b, but I understand some use cock hackle, what is your view on this?
