Thank you sir! It's time to start drinking again, as I seem to keep track of posts better that way!

Another method I show people at expos is to wind an oversized hackle in a normal fashion at some point (depending on feather size) down the shaft toward the bend of the hook. Then fold the oversized barbs forward to the eye and wrap and dub over them and the rest of the body. Then you fold the barbs back so they resemble a normal sized hackle wrap then tie down and finish the head. ;)
Now that it's making sense to me, I am going to use all the methods. Thank you so much for the tip!
It's hard for me to believe that I could stare at a tutorial for a couple years, scratch my head, and only admit to myself that I have'nt a clue. Then see a video, and the veil is lifted. Thank you ALL even if I get the names confused, I appreciate all the responses.
Hankeye, I better get out there and irrigate. One of the benifits of living so close to Utah is, we can make water flow uphill. ;)

We almost choose Oregon to move to when we decided we'd had enough of here (N.Y.).....BUT! Of allllllll the cool places to live in the states (Oregon, Idaho, Montana, etc.), based on low crime, killer (both still and moving water)fishing, good schools & hospitals, friendly people, pretty country-side, etc., etc., etc......Arkansas was the ONLY one, which had dirt cheap property taxes. All the others had sky rocket property taxes. Plus we have two great shows a year, right where we are in the Ozarks, and we can actually be sleeping in our own bed while doing them. :) Also there's at least another dozen shows within a one, to two day drive of north Arkansas. Not to mention almost NO snow, plus hurricans and tornados almost never come up in the Ozarks.......YES!!!!! Bout the only bummer bout Arkansas is no Steelhead fishin'..... :( No Jazz clubs suckx too..... .....but i'm headed for Manhattan tomorrow night. :P

Btw, what's an oversized hackle/feather???????? Makes NO sense to me at all..... :D

Oversize hackle? Just a term to get you to respond to a post? We all know how shy you are! :geek:
