That is a very good colour combination with the Furnace hackle.
A 'bonny wee flee'.

Just had a thought, it might be worth a variation using Pearsall's Jasper thread.

VERY COOL!

Would this qualify as a "hotspot" pattern? If so, opens up a lot of options for most recent swap.

I know what the jasper looks like but have never used it. Nice suggestion.

This isn't really a hotspot in my opinion, on this particular fly, as the orange is quite subtle. But no reason why the same style couldn't be used as a hot spot. I can see some flouro green, with a grizzly dun hackle.
