I know what the jasper looks like but have never used it. Nice suggestion.
This isn't really a hotspot in my opinion, on this particular fly, as the orange is quite subtle. But no reason why the same style couldn't be used as a hot spot. I can see some flouro green, with a grizzly dun hackle.

This pattern gives new meaning to the term "bi-visible", and I like it a lot.
