Gorgeous fly, Carl. Love the curved hook. Adds a nice "harmony" to the fly.

Thanks guys,

I forgot to mention one little detail which is hard to see in the picture. The dun thread I waxed generously, built the tapered body, then smoothed out the body with a burnishing tool. As a side effect of burnishing the waxed thread polished at the same time and became very glossy. After a couple days of drying I have noticed the gloss has been retained and the wax thread has hardened. I waxed it with a dark cobbler's wax.

Thankx Carl.....very cool thing to know/learn about. Btw, at some point, Misa will undoubtedly photograph and post ("somewhere") pics, of the Italian Valsesviana flies we have. A good friend of her from Italy sent us a dang nice stash of them.......both VERY old and very modern, along with a genuin horsehair
line and leader. He tyed the more modern dressings and i'm ot sure, but perhaps built the line as well. What a cool package when that arrived......i mean just a killer conversational stash. Obviously right now "things" are nutz here......but i'll ask her to remember about it and get on the web eventually. It's gotten to the point now, where i'm just living one day at a time......with NO expectations good or bad............just hangin' in........... ;)
