Thanks again for the comments. I have always thought woodcock was the nicest looking hackle, subtle marking and tones that are very compelling. Like everything else in the fly cabinet...I wish there were more time to spend tying with these.
Ruard, your wet fly shots are really a step forward. I'm not going to aim so high. I do wish I could think to dunk the flies for a second shot when I have them there, but I have been missing those opportunities lately. If I get a chance...I'll dunk a few and post them. This one would be especially interesting as the olive turns darker and compliments the silk. Thanks for the nudge.
