Same for me. Of all the aspects I feel are becoming more resolved in my tying (maybe evolving at a slower pace would be more accurate), the issue of wax still has some ways to go. This is a great thread and I'm really glad to see these posts.

Jim, as a lurker you're holding onto a cannon of knowledge. Please share what you can when you can. I hope you're enjoying the block. Using the Keene wax was a real issue for me. I need to give it another try. Your instruction is very helpful.

I have some of that Keene wax. I didn't care for it much in the summer, now I cannot remember why. But in the winter, I like it. Go figure.
