I do like this material quite a lot. And I'm digging this pattern. I hope I get to fish it soon. I fish this construction type often when I need something down deeper, usually early spring or winter but those are usually wire bodies with some shine to them for attraction. I can imagine this being effective. I'll have to carry them and report back. It's a cool material for certain.

Thanks for the kind words, everyone. Stefan, I have enough to share as well and it might be cheaper if anyone state side would like to try this, is be happy to share what I have. Thanks for sharing such a unique material with us.

William passed on to me some of this silk wire material that Stefan (dd) sent to him, and despite efforts to come up with a novel application (twisting it with peacock herl, etc.), the best I can do is to use it as a rib ...

Bill, I'm really glad you posted this. Ribbing is a good use for this wire and it looks good on this glowing ember. Cool pattern.

An update. Stefan generously provided a nice spool of this wire so I packaged a few envelopes to share. I'll still have quite a nice supply and would love to offer a bit if anyone is interested. Please just drop me a pm. Anyone, anywhere, let me know.
