I believe we are talking about two different books. My book is written by Jean Paul Pequegnot and published by Coch - y Bondhu books. There are also quite a few pictures in the middle of the book.

Ruard,
I might have a problem reading from the copy you have. We had one translated into English and published in the USA. It was one of a few that didn't sell out.
The copy I have has a bunch of black and white drawings of the flies. The only pictures are on the front of the book cover.
My French is limited to sub-titled movies.

Not to take anything away from Ruard's fine pattern, talk about fishing books not holding your interest reminded me of the most boring fly fishing book I have attempted to read: "Fishing Dry Flies for Trout in Rivers and Streams," by Art Lee. Lee was the northeast field editor for Fly Fisherman magazine for years and, back when I subscribed to that magazine, I found his columns and articles to be readable enough, if not particularly applicable to the western waters I fished. I have tried several times to get through "Fishing Dry Flies," but I just can't. I would be happy to give it to anybody who wants it, for the cost of postage. (Now back to your regularly scheduled programming.)

This is a great looking fly Ruard. I thought the name of the book sounded familiar'.
I had acquired a Kindle when they first appeared in the UK and about six months ago,
I bought one of the largest versions [Full colour] and have down-loaded a copy of this book.
It is a recently published edition with a coloured section added.
I would have down-loaded without colour, coloured pictures are very nice, but if you limit yourself
to books with coloured illustrations only, you are ignoring a huge list of traditional patterns
from both sides of the Atlantic. I like to read read recipe lists such as from Roger Woolley.
His book "Modern Trout Dressing" [1932] was reccommended as one of the best Tying Insruction
manuals ever written by Sylvester Nemes. I tend to agree with whoever said
- Radio has better pictures than TV and the colour is better too.
Just as well with the state of my eyesight. LOL
