These are really impressive ties, very caddis like. The other night I was toying around with some wool spun on silk for Tan Caddis emergers, I'll post those pictures later.

William Anderson was kind enough to give me some of this Borroco wool used for Killer Bugs while we had our get together. I looked at it and thought about tan caddis emergers. So when I got home I took a strand and untwisted it. Being that it's wool, tyne density is pretty high, so a little goes a long way.

I twisted it on yellow silk and let it sit overnight to congeal. Tied up a couple of these last night in hopes I run into some Tan Caddis emergences.

That wool is nice and fine when frizzed and your resulting delicate pattern should do the trick when you do find fish eating tan caddis, Smuggler. As you know, they were pretty much being ignored on Penn's last weekend.

Carl, your version is a beaut. The peacock makes a nice transition to the darker partridge hackle. Nice pattern and a killer little pupa. Eric, that wool is an interesting idea for an outer body over green. It should look juicy the way you've tied it. Nice body work with the block as well. Always nice to see the body with the fly.
