I think if threre is any difference between UK Starling and our Starling it's grading. Starling seems to be more important over there and more of a afterthought here so most US suppliers don't take the time to grade them. If they look good they're good enough.

Jim you may very well have that right, regarding the grading. The skin I have I've had for quite some time and if it wouldn't have been for the great conversations on this site it likely still wouldn't be getting used. They're a delicate little feather and take some practice but once realized, not a difficult feather to work with.

I know that I have seen some very good skins but most are not so hot. Most of these come from a major distributor here in the States. Of course the main Gene line is in GB. As they are usurpers here.
