unless they are in the act of crop depredation or harassment of domestic animals. Falls under the same classification of crows, but with no defined season on them.

We have a lot of gang affiliated magpies out here.

News to me. Crows are hunted in many states under the federal migratory hunting regs. Magpies are not. I was unaware of ANY state that superseded the federal migratory bird act. Magpies are listed as a songbird under the law.... at least that is what federal and state wardens have told me

It was my favorite show in 1956. A nearby mom & pop store advertised that Heckel and Jeckel were coming to the store. It was huge disappointment to me to find it was actual birds and not the cartoon characters. I was seven.

It was about the same time another kid told me Santa Claus didn’t exist. On Christmas Eve I pretended to be asleep when my parents checked on me. The truth was soon revealed. Many years later I found out about magic mushroom Santa.
