I must eat my words, since my last remarks on Fogg's latest book,
I have been giving it serious scrutiny and it is a very good book.
The illustrations on dressing flies are a big help, also I had not realised
that there were some of Turton's recipes and flies shown.
I found the 'Palmer' section of much interest, the early Palmer flies and
their descendants the Derbyshire Bumbles are much ignored by many modern anglers except perhaps locally in the North of England.
They are not difficult flies to dress so I will probably be dressing some soon and posting them here.
