Back in my worm dunking days(baitcasting), I used Berkley Spiderwire braided line. It was great for fishing artificial worms because it had little strech and floated. I wonder if that could be furled into an acceptable line such as we are talking about here. I know the line is not that long but it would take quite a long furling setup to make in comparison to a leader.

wayneb, Howdy;
Dependant on the number of plys, you might be able to haul a house down the road
with the finished product...

That is some pretty strong stuff.

The rods have finally arrived, 1 12Ft and 2 13Ft.
I will start by redoing the rings on one of the 13ft ones and hopefully will be able to try it within a couple of weeks. Will need to find a quiet spot until I get the hang of using it. If it is half as effective as Mike claims then no doubt the club will have to ban its use....

Otter,
I believe that these folk carry the braided polypropylene cord you want -
http://www.essentialscompany.co.uk/Cord ... bbing.html
or
They only have it in 2mm or 5mm. But the price is right.
Regards,
Reed
P.S. - On the west side of the pond, you can buy 2.5mm and 4mm braided polypropylene cord in assorted colors from
http://www.candjcraft.com/macrame/4mm_212mm_cord.shtml as macrame cord. At $3 for twenty yards or $6 for 70 yards, it shouldn't break the bank. (Except my bank, but that was already broken.)
