Mike Connor, Howdy;

All I was saying is it's in the delivery. Sometimes comes across as all Negative.
I don't mean for you to Candy coat things, perhaps just not so brusquely delivered.

Facts are facts, it makes no difference how they are delivered, they are still facts. If people don't like the way I present them, that's just tough. I am offering help and advice on fishing, not parental counselling. If you or anybody else doesn't like what I write that is also fine. It just doesn't make any difference to me. The only people who lose out are those who don't take advice and catch fewer or no fish. Not my problem. If I do actually venture an "opinion" as opposed to something I know to be a fact and somebody disagrees, that's also fine. Advice and information is only useful to those who want it and are prepared to use it. The reliability of such information and advice has to be decided by those who want to take it. I simply don't care what anybody else has to say about it. It will not affect me in the slightest.

Hank - Nice try, but you are wasting your figurative breath. Simple fact.

So you prefer mindless conformity to solid information, and you also want it delivered with a sugar coating? That's not the way to catch fish. Fish don't care or even know about the nonsensical antics of anglers.

Perhaps you would have the goodness to tell me what you do want instead of offering snide derogatory remarks? I am not here to hit people over the head with a hammer and force them to do something sensible. I am here because I am interested in fishing, I have spent my whole life studying and practicing it, and to help if I can. I can not force anybody to do anything at all, and would not do so even if I could, whether they take advice is also beyond my control. I don't care when people disagree, that's up to them. I only write of things I KNOW to be true, not wild unsubstantiated beliefs or odd opinions based on nothing much,what others say has no effect on that.

Ray, Howdy;

Social skills aren't one of my strong suits but I at least try them once in awhile...

My social skills are in fact first class, I actually have a recognised qualification in social intercourse. I am here to discuss fishing, and help if I can, not to bullshit or impress people. I simply don't care what people think, ( as far as they do so at all). You can disagree all you like, and dislike or insult me all you like, it just doesn't make any difference at all to me. I used to get upset at stupid, ignorant people who spent their time bullshitting and insulting others, now I simply don't care. If a couple of people have been helped by what I have written that has to suffice.

What others do or want is up to them.

Boris, you certainly did not deserve your post to degenerate to this. My sincere apologies. I am closing this thread.
