Hackle: Greater Covert from an American Ruffed Grouse wing.
Short Abdomen: About half of body length- Fluorescent Chartreuse UTC tying thread used like floss-no tying thread beneath.
Thorax: Three peacock herls twisted in tying thread and wrapped together.

I'm not sure which I love more, the fly or the name of the fly. Oobleck! Oobleck! Oobleck! Damn, that is a fun name for a fly. Wonderful pattern Mark, and tyed with your usual attention to detail. Oobleck!

Mark - The second definition of "Oobleck" reminds me of a rheology class I took in college. We studied shear-thickening fluids (dilatant) such as water & cornstarch. Pretty neat stuff. I wonder if that is why I was so drawn to the name "Oobleck".
