Hackle: Silver Speckled Coq de leon hen
Ribbing: Fine Pearlescent mylar tinsel
Body: Olive Hare's mask, dubbed Leisenring fashion on 8/0 olive Uni-thread-roughed with dubbing needle after wrapping rib.

Nice, mark. I really like the look of it. I may have to play around a bit more with that CDL hen I have (picked them up at a show in the dollar bin). I was a very happy fly tier.

Love it! The rib adds a nice glint to the dubbed body & the color compliments it very well.

WOW! that's a hot item.......way cool hook as well.......don't think i've ever seen that hook.....where the heck you find it? ;)

This is a vintage hook, and I don't think Mustad makes them anymore. These were a gift from a fellow wingless wet fly lover, like myself.

Great tie Mark, I like to use the pearl mylar tinsel as ribbing as well. I like the way it add translucence to the body but takes on the body color.
I hate it when I think I'm buying organic vegetables, and when I get home I discover they are just regular donuts.
