To my delight

Post by Soft-hackle » Tue Feb 22, 2011 10:47 pm

Hi everyone,
I want to thank all the wonderful tiers who have been posting some very beautiful flies, here. I have been very busy and not feeling well since this past weekend. Bad tooth with no dental care. Not doing well even on antibiotics. Also trying set up my new computer for upcoming work. I have been checking in and looking at all these wonderful flies.

Ouch! Little worse than a bad tooth; hope it gets better soon.

Boy I don't know what would be worse an uncooperative computer or a bad tooth. They both are extremely painful. Take care and get well soon.

Hope you're feeling better pretty soon. Get to the dentist, it's not nearly the painful experience it used to be.
Look around while you're there. My wife is a dental hyg., and I have some pretty cool tying tools from her office. Even some strange tying materials.

Mark - Do you think the Buffalo VA hospital would have a dentist? This may be another reason for you to visit Buffalo again. Your always welcome to stop by my house if your in town.

Hi Ray,
I don't think I qualify for VA Dental work. You have to have a service connected disability. Yes, they take care of vets real well.

Willow - Yep, been using floss for years. Those little hand "drill bits" they use for root canals make dandy dubbing "ruffer-uppers"
for small nymphs and such. Ask your dentist for a couple of the largest size, I'm sure he'll give you a couple. Think the official name for them is endo-somethingorother.

Sorry, didn't mean to steer this thread onto another track.

Excuse me, i mispelled Oscar's first name above........most likely mispelled his last name as well......but he's probably use to that. Oscar is a wonderful guy who has been to the (FFF) Conclave for almost 40 years in a row, teaching and tying and always providing the music for the Sat. eve. BBQ/ceremonial Conclave is over meal. He lives in Florida and had spent many years living in Michigan before the move souff, originally comming to the U.S. from Chile in the 70's. He's a wonderful singer and quitarist as well as a great fly tyer/teacher.

Chase.....those dental tools you referend to.....i've got a bunch of them.....and mine all have the fancy wooden handles Wasatch puts on them........... :D
