Body: Gudebrod G, fluor chartreuse, split and pine squirrel underfur inserted

If that fly were on a Grip, it would almost be unsporting. :lol: I definitely love the look of the fluoro underbody...a very refined way of getting a bit of color on the fly.

The guard hair collar and the underfur body is a beautiful and effective way to use that pine squirrel.

Hans - I am curious about the Gudebrod G thread. What else to you use that for? It looks like very heavy duty stuff. Is it used for rod making?

Ray, it is a waxed nylon thread, as good as untwisted coming off the spool. For my use it would be ribbing, or bodies like on this pattern.

Other uses i can visualize are on heavy duty deer hair spinning for bass bugs, or salt patterns.
